As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and building resilient data solutions, pipelines, and APIs that support strategic business initiatives.
Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you'll leverage modern cloud technologies and engineering best practices to deliver secure, scalable, and reusable data products.
You'll also be at the forefront of AI adoption, helping drive automation, innovation, and improved delivery outcomes across the engineering lifecycle.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).
What You'll Do
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products that support business and customer outcomes using SQL, BigQuery, and DBT.Design and develop reusable data services, interfaces, and APIs to enable self-service data capabilities.Apply software engineering and DevOps practices to deliver secure, high-quality solutions.Leverage AI and automation to improve productivity, quality, and engineering efficiency.Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Support data governance requirements and maintain data definitions and documentation.
What You'll Bring
4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.Strong SQL skills and experience with programming languages used in modern data environments.Hands-on expertise with BigQuery and DBT.Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Exposure to big data, data warehousing technologies, and modern data engineering practices.Experience applying AI and automation across development and engineering workflows.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building innovative solutions.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.A growth mindset and a collaborative approach to working within Agile teams
