This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain pipelines. You'll shape how data flows across the business, influence technical decisions and work alongside Product, Engineering and Analytics to solve real customer problems. Why this role matters As a Data Engineer, you'll build the foundations that power decision-making across Veygo. You'll create scalable data pipelines, improve the quality and reliability of our platform, and ensure teams have fast, trusted access to the data they need. Whether it's enabling better customer experiences, supporting product experimentation or helping the business make smarter commercial decisions, your work will have a direct impact across Veygo. Working with technologies including Snowflake, Matillion and AWS, you'll partner closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics to shape the future of our data platform, continually improving how data is collected, transformed and used across the business. You'll be successful in this role if you Build reliable, scalable data pipelines that support customer and commercial decision-making.Improve the performance, quality and observability of our data platform.Create data models that enable fast, trusted analytics across the business.Partner with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to embed data into everything we build.Champion engineering best practices including testing, automation and CI/CD.Continuously improve how data is managed, governed and delivered across Veygo. What You'll Bring Commercial experience as a Data Engineer building modern cloud-based data platforms.Strong SQL skills and experience designing scalable data models.Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Matillion or similar.Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with modern data warehousing practices.Experience working within AWS or another cloud platform.Python or similar scripting experience.A collaborative approach, working closely with engineers, analysts and product teams to solve business problems.A passion for improving engineering standards, automation, observability and data quality.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex technical challenges. It would be great if you also have Supported near real-time data platforms.Worked with infrastructure as code or cloud automation.Built data solutions within digital product organisations or customer-focused businesses.Mentored other engineers or contributed to engineering communities of practice.
