Description

We are hiring for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-growing AI healthcare startup in New York City. The team is building AI-powered products that automate the healthcare recruiting pipeline, from sourcing and screening to licensing and onboarding. Role Description This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who enjoys building from scratch and working across the full stack. You will own greenfield projects spanning backend, infrastructure, and frontend while helping scale systems from thousands to millions of candidate interactions. You will: Build and ship end-to-end features in a TypeScript-first environment.Develop and scale distributed systems in production.Work with Python, TypeScript, AWS, and serverless infrastructure.Own projects from architecture and implementation through deployment and monitoring.Collaborate closely with the Director of Engineering and founding team.Help establish engineering standards and technical culture within a small, fast-moving team.Work on AI-powered products transforming the healthcare recruiting process. Qualifications Experience in full-stack software engineering.Strong hands-on experience with Python.Proficiency in TypeScript across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.Experience building and scaling distributed systems in production.Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, reliability, and mission-critical systems.At least 2 years of experience at an early-stage, VC-backed startup.Experience with AWS/serverless infrastructure.Experience building greenfield products and taking projects from 0→1.Experience deploying AI/LLM applications or ML systems in production is a plus.Strong ownership and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Mission-driven, collaborative, and open to changing direction when presented with better technical arguments.Must currently be based in New York City or be willing to relocate.Must be able to work in-office Monday through Thursday.
