About the Opportunity The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and services. This role contributes to building reliable and scalable solutions, improving existing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into effective software products. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues. • Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and backend or frontend components as required. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical standards and development practices. • Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests. • Monitor application performance, reliability, and scalability and implement improvements as needed. • Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions. • Support deployment, release, and CI/CD processes. • Maintain technical documentation and communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies. • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes and tools. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 2+ years of professional software development experience preferred. • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go, or similar. • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and software services. • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering best practices. • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases. • Experience with version control systems such as Git. • Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices. • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed engineering team.
