Junior Go Backend Developer

(Junior) Go Developer Munich Go / Java / PHP / C++ / Rust I’m currently working with a well-established technology business in Munich that is continuing to expand its international platform and is looking for a Junior Go Developer to join its backend engineering team. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys building high-performance backend systems and wants to work on software used at significant scale. You’ll join an agile development team and work closely with product, partner and engineering teams to build backend services that support the rollout of the platform into new international markets. What you'll be working on You’ll help develop and improve backend services that need to operate reliably across multiple countries, including: Building scalable backend services and APIsDeveloping services in GoIntegrating external partner APIsSupporting international requirements including currencies, languages and market-specific business logicCreating reusable services rather than market-by-market solutionsImproving system performance, scalability and architectureTaking features from technical design through development, testing and productionWriting automated tests and maintaining high code-quality standardsWorking with monitoring and observability tools to keep services stable in productionUsing modern development and AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI or JetBrains Junie What we're looking for You don't necessarily need years of commercial Go experience. The team is particularly interested in developers with strong fundamentals and experience with Go or another backend/object-oriented language, such as: Go, Java, PHP, C++, Rust You'll ideally have: A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics or a similar technical subject with high marks. Some commercial software development experienceA good understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principlesAn interest in building high-performance and scalable systemsStrong quality awareness and a hands-on approachAn interest in modern technologies, including Generative AIGood communication and teamwork skillsFluent GermanGood English Why apply?
