Requirements Experience with hardware and firmware, including penetration testing.Knowledge of networking and protocols, including TCP/IP and Ethernet.Adaptable to change and able to identify needs, adjust, and work with others as appropriate to implement initiatives.Able to gain and maintain the support of stakeholders and decision-makers required to achieve product quality goals.Able to comply with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct, ethics, and conflicts of interest, and ability to complete annual training covering these policies and procedures.Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and security concepts. Responsibilities Perform functional security tests and penetration tests on sensors, safety devices, industrial components, and software.Perform security testing of firmware, industrial communication protocols, Windows based industrial software, embedded web interfaces, and wireless technologies.Clearly document test steps and reproducibility information from product anomalies/vulnerabilities you discover.Collaborate with developers and product security engineers on improving product security.Contribute to architecture development, design, and implementation of security test automation.Perform product vulnerability assessments and product security research on a variety of products.Remain up-to-date on current attacks or potential attacks. Where applicable, evaluate the potential impact of publicly-identified attacks on products.Participate in team planning and status activities to ensure assignments are understood and prioritized, and the desired output is defined.Become knowledgeable in the department’s processes and procedures.
