About the role
We are looking for a Key Business Developer to build a strong pipeline of high-potential sellers across the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for our Collectables business unit.
You will identify and engage prospective sellers, encouraging them to offer high-quality objects across categories such as Books, Coins, Toys and Trading Cards.
You will guide new sellers through a smooth onboarding experience and help them build momentum on our platform.
Your focus will be on creating sustainable revenue growth by turning new sellers into engaged, fast-growing sellers who are ready to transition to our Account Management teams.
What you’ll do
Identify, qualify and develop leads through call, email, field visit, fair visit and experts collaboration
Identify and reactivate high potential dormant sellers and organic sign-ups
Qualify inbound leads by working with data and sales tooling
Facilitate a frictionless pre and post-sales experience for new sellers
Build and nurture strong relationships with new sellers to expand Collectables seller network
In cooperation with experts, quickly learn the important characteristics of categories
Select and grow high-potential new sellers, and hand-over the best ones to Account Management teams
Move in sync with Account Managers to develop growth plan for onboarded sellers
What you’ll bring
Strong sales mindset with a proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
Successful and active networker with the ability to establish and nurture relationships with sellers, manufacturers and distributors
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Proactive problem solver with a data driven approach to decision making
Genuine passion in the online marketplace or collecting space, ideally with personal experience as a collector so you can naturally understand and connect with our sellers
Open to travel on a regular base within Germany and Austria to meet prospective and existing sellers
Familiar with G Suite tools (Google sheet, Google Slides, and Gemini)
Experience working with a sales CRM (Hubspot or any equivalent) is a plus
Fluent in German and English
Where you’ll be
The role is preferably based in Germany with a work-from-home arrangement.
It can also be based in the Netherlands with regular field visits to Germany and Austria.
