Working in the Customer& Digital line of business you will be a key resource in the delivery of a significant programme of work to refresh, consolidate and re-think all of the ASX digital properties. You will be working with some of the latest contemporary technology, with the focus on delivering a cloud based digital services platform, based on a microservice, event driven architecture. What You'll Do The role is part of a team of skilled, multi-disciplinary digital engineers focused on the delivery of digital solutions in support of the digital transformation programme. This team is responsible for production support + build and run functions across the digital portfolio. The role involves solution development, engineering processes and tooling. Specifically you will: Perform design and development of software solutions within the digital engineering teamDevelop operational and system support tools including documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applicationsContribute to the health of the code base by conducting effective code and process reviewsApply agile frameworks, techniques and processes to deliver incremental valueProvide estimates and contribute to sizing of continuous improvement backlog Solution Design Contribute to the design of digital solutions across the portfolioWork with architecture and solution engineering to define technical options and agree solutions, in line with the digital roadmap and architectural guidelinesShare design skills across the organisation Quality & Best Practice Perform the design and development of software solutions according to the Engineering Processes and Standards, with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirementsConsistently apply tools, standards, methods and processes in developing and supporting solutions to ensure that quality applications are developed with consistent maintainable code which supports risk and compliance managementReview code to deliver quality driven, robust and production ready code that is compliant and secureApply a continuous improvement mindset to standards, methods and processes What You'll Need Proven experience in microservice and API development using event driven architecture covering aspects such as service segregation, API modelling and versioning.Minimum 3-5 years as a Java engineer, preferably within a digital team, with experience across tools and frameworks such as JAVA, Springboot, JPA, Messaging, GraphQL, ReactA good understanding of CI/CD tooling and DevOps processes, Google Cloud / AWS Build would be great.A good understanding of security principles with exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM)Sound knowledge of system analysis methodologies and toolsExperienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and ways of workingFamiliarity with application support proceduresStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, resilient, great attention to detailPassion for excellence and a continuous improvement mindsetBe a change agent who embraces and champions new ideas And if you have some of this even better!
