Description

The Food Safety & Quality Lead is responsible for the success and guidance of the Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) team associates. You will coordinate team schedules, activities, and training, and provide coaching to ensure maximum productivity. Working closely with the team, you will cover tasks as needed and follow direction from the FSQ leadership team. Your core objective is to uphold HelloFresh food safety and quality standards, ensuring every meal kit is food-safe and excellent quality. Shift: Thursday to Sunday - 7:00pm to 5:30am You will… Team Leadership: Instruct, coach, and provide feedback to FSQ employees. Compliance & Safety: Enforce and follow all safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies. Empower associates to escalate non-conformances or violations. Quality Verification: Conduct quality verification activities in the warehouse, staging, and production line setups (kitting and assembly). Issue Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Warehouse, Operations) to resolve non-conformances. Effectively escalate food safety risks or quality issues and support corrective actions, including shutting down a production line for major errors. Inspections & Audits: Oversee and complete food safety training, audits, and documentation, including temperature checks, expiration date verification, and sanitation swabs. Monitor and ensure team completion of inbound quality inspections on ingredients and continuous quality checks through all stages of the process. Monitor kitting and assembly audits.
