About The Role
We are looking for an Autonomy Software Engineer to help build and scale core autonomy capabilities.
This is a product engineering role for people who enjoy shipping real systems: designing clean software, developing new features, improving reliability, and delivering measurable impact in real operations.
The role is best suited for early-career to mid-level engineers who are ready to grow their technical ownership while working on real-world autonomy systems.
Experience in robotics or autonomous driving is a plus, not a strict requirement.
What You Will Do
Build and improve core autonomy functionality in planning, control, and estimation pipelinesDesign, implement, and maintain robust Python and C++ software for production useHelp translate product and operational needs into practical technical solutionsImprove system reliability, performance, and maintainability across modulesInvestigate complex issues using logs, simulation, and operational data, and contribute to durable fixesDevelop test and validation workflows to support safe and confident releasesContribute to engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and better development practices
Required Qualifications
Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on C++ development experienceSolid grasp of linear algebra, calculus, and geometry, and the ability to translate mathematical concepts into working softwareExperience developing non-trivial software systems through professional work, research, or substantial projectsStrong problem-solving and debugging skills, including the ability to investigate issues systematicallyExperience writing clean, testable, maintainable codeEffective collaboration and communication skills in team environmentsWillingness to take responsibility for assigned problems and follow them through implementation and validation
Preferred Qualifications
Robotics, autonomous driving, or other real-time/safety-critical system experiencePractical understanding of planning, control, and/or state estimation systemsExperience with simulation-based development and validationExperience with Linux-based development and CI/CD workflowsExperience owning a software feature or component from implementation through testing and integration
Leveling (Junior/Mid)
Junior-level engineers are expected to contribute to features and modules with guidance, while developing stronger system-level understanding and gradually taking on more ownershipMid-level engineers are expected to independently own features or modules, make sound implementation decisions, and contribute to technical design
