About the RoleWe are looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our Development team and support our application deployment, infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and operational activities.
This role is suited for an early-career DevOps professional who has hands-on exposure to Linux, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Git, and infrastructure automation and wants to build deeper expertise by working on real-world development and production environments.
You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and senior technical team members to support reliable deployments, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and improve operational efficiency through automation.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.Support application deployments across development, staging, and production environments.Manage and troubleshoot Linux/Unix servers.Build, deploy, and manage containers using Docker.Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes.Troubleshoot Kubernetes Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and networking issues.Assist in managing infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools.Develop Bash/Python scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks.Monitor infrastructure and applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, or Loki.Analyze application and infrastructure logs and assist in resolving issues.Support monitoring, alerting, incident management, and production troubleshooting.Troubleshoot networking issues involving DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, firewalls, load balancers, and connectivity.Assist with SSL/TLS certificates, secrets, credentials, and access permissions.Work with Git for branching, merging, pull/merge requests, and release management.Assist developers with deployment and infrastructure-related issues.Support production deployments, rollback activities, and incident response when required.Perform basic performance and resource utilization analysis.Maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting runbooks.Follow DevOps, security, and operational best practices.Participate in on-call support and incident response activities when required.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.1–2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, System Administration, or IT Infrastructure.Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.Good understanding of Git and version control.Hands-on understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.Basic hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.Understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform or Ansible.Knowledge of Bash scripting; Python is an advantage.Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, and firewalls.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, or CloudWatch.Basic understanding of Nginx, Apache, or similar web servers/reverse proxies.Understanding of security practices including access control, secrets management, and SSL/TLS certificates.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work effectively with developers, QA engineers, system administrators, and senior DevOps engineers.Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and automation practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to production incidents.
