The role involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and technical planning through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The successful candidate should be comfortable writing and reviewing code, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to technical and architectural decisions. The role will primarily involve working with .NET/C#, Sitecore and Kentico CMS platforms, while also requiring a good understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, software architecture, and modern development practices. The role will also involve working closely with the Australian team to understand requirements, plan and deliver development tasks, communicate progress and risks, and contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team. Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise (65%) Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using C# and .NET.Develop clean, maintainable, testable, and scalable code following Clean Architecture and SOLID principles.Work with and develop solutions using Sitecore and Kentico CMS platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and production issues.Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.Perform code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to team members.Maintain and improve existing applications and codebases.Develop and maintain integrations with APIs, third-party services, and other systems.Work with relational databases such as SQL Server and write efficient queries.Understand and work with cloud-based application environments, preferably AWS or Azure.Understand application hosting, networking, security, databases, storage, monitoring, and other key cloud infrastructure concepts.Work with and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.Support application deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments.Investigate and evaluate new technologies and approaches where relevant.Ensure applications are secure, reliable, maintainable, and up to date.Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing practices.Prepare and maintain technical and operational documentation.Provide written knowledge-transfer material where required. Product Quality Assurance (15%) Develop and execute appropriate testing and verification approaches before handing over work to QA.Ensure development work meets functional and technical requirements.Identify and resolve defects during development and testing.Prepare functional and technical information required by the QA team.Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of application issues.Ensure code changes meet agreed coding, security, and quality standards. Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing (15%) Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers.Conduct code reviews and help team members improve development practices.Assist with technical task breakdown, estimation, and planning.Help the team identify technical risks, dependencies, and potential issues.Share knowledge and conduct technical training or knowledge-sharing sessions.Support the manager with development planning and reporting where required.Encourage consistent use of coding standards, architecture principles, and development best practices. Stakeholder Management (5%) Work closely with the Australian team to understand requirements and clarify technical details.Provide regular and effective updates on development progress.Communicate technical risks, blockers, dependencies, and delivery concerns.Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, QA, developers, and other stakeholders.Participate in technical discussions and contribute to solution planning. Any other additional tasks or responsibilities as required by the business. Core Technical Skills The successful candidate should have strong experience in: C# / .NETASP.NET / ASP.NET MVCSitecore and/or Kentico CMSClean Architecture and SOLID principlesSQL Server / relational databasesREST APIs and system integrationsUnit testingGit and source controlCI/CD pipelinesAWS or Microsoft AzureApplication deployment and environment configurationDebugging and troubleshooting of production applications Experience with the following would be advantageous: Redis or other caching technologiesDocker and containerizationMessage queues and event-driven architectureCloud-native servicesApplication monitoring and logging Required Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience developing applications using .NET/C#.Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.Practical experience developing and maintaining CMS-based web applications.Experience with Sitecore and/or Kentico is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and work with Sitecore and Kentico, including understanding their content structures, templates, renderings, integrations, and deployment processes.Good understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and object-oriented design.Hands-on experience with SQL Server or another relational database.Good understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.Practical understanding of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure.Experience configuring and supporting Development, UAT, and Production environments.Experience writing unit tests and following automated testing practices.Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.Ability to independently analyse problems and propose appropriate technical solutions.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
