Description

Position: Software Developer - AI Document Extraction / Validation Platform Location: Perth Duration: 6 months About the Role We are seeking a Software Developer to join our AI Document Extraction & Validation Platform team. In this role, you will help build and scale a production-grade solution that extracts, validates, and manages structured information from contract documents using Azure Document Intelligence and LLM-powered AI workflows. While the core extraction models and evaluation framework are owned by the Data Science team, you will be responsible for developing the applications, integrations, APIs, and platform components that transform AI outputs into a reliable business product. You will design and develop Angular-based review applications that enable users to review, correct, and approve extracted data. Additionally, you will build and maintain API layers and backend services using Python, integrate cloud storage and AI processing pipelines, and ensure seamless communication between frontend and backend systems. You will play a key role in productionization activities, including deployment automation, observability, authentication, data integrity, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Angular (TypeScript), Python development, REST API design, and cloud-native application development on Azure. Expertise in testing, CI/CD, secure authentication, and maintainable software engineering practices is essential. Experience with Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, ASP.NET Core, Azure ML, MLOps tooling, containerization, and GitLab CI/CD is highly desirable. This role offers the opportunity to shape a scalable AI-powered document processing platform from prototype to enterprise-grade production solution.
