DevOps Technical Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to support modernization efforts within a government-focused technology organization. The DevOps Technical Lead will lead CI/CD strategy, automation initiatives, and software delivery processes while providing mentorship and technical direction to a team of engineers. Responsibilities of the DevOps Technical Lead: Lead the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications. Implement automation solutions that improve software delivery speed and reliability. Establish DevOps best practices and deployment standards. Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to streamline delivery processes. Mentor engineers and provide leadership on automation and release management initiatives. Drive continuous improvement efforts across the software development lifecycle. Qualifications of the DevOps Technical Lead: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience. Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management. Experience supporting cloud-based environments. Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies. Previous technical leadership experience preferred.
