Volunteer Software Developers
Marra Community Hub, an ACNC-registered charity supported by Glen Eira City Council, is recruiting four volunteers to form development team.
You'll build and maintain our production volunteer management platform, hub.marrahub.com.au β tickets, pull requests, and code review, the same workflow you'd find in any professional team.
We're recruiting across four roles β tell us which one you're applying for:
FRONTEND DEVELOPER
Build user-facing features for the volunteer portal: workshop sign-ups, dashboards, application forms.
Improve accessibility and polish, fix bugs from real user reports.
Tech: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS 4, React Router
BACKEND DEVELOPER
Design and build REST endpoints in our .NET Azure Functions API.
Work with Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL β queries, migrations, multi-tenant data isolation.
Tech: C#/.NET, Azure Functions, EF Core, PostgreSQL, xUnit
DEVOPS / CLOUD ENGINEER
Maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines deploying to production.
Work with our Azure estate (Static Web Apps, Functions, PostgreSQL Flexible Server) defined in Bicep.
Help harden security: managed identities, Key Vault, access policies.

QA & TEST ENGINEER
Write test plans, run exploratory testing before releases, extend our automated suites (xUnit for the API, Node-based frontend tests), and help introduce end-to-end testing β a greenfield project you can own.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
β You hold, or are studying towards, an IT certificate or bachelor's degree in Melbourne
β You're seeking referenceable project experience with an Australian organisation
β You can commit approximately 15 hours per fortnight, flexible around study and work
