Deine Rolle Als Senior Software Engineer – Backend entwickelst du leistungsfähige und zuverlässige Backend-Services und Softwarekomponenten auf Basis von modernem C++ und gestaltest deren technische Architektur aktiv mit. Du arbeitest an produktnahen Systemen, bei denen Performance, Stabilität und eine zuverlässige Kommunikation zwischen unterschiedlichen Komponenten entscheidend sind. Dabei bewegst du dich an den Schnittstellen zwischen Hardware, Netzwerkkommunikation und Backend-Services. Du übernimmst Verantwortung für technische Entscheidungen, bringst deine Erfahrung in Reviews und Entwicklungsprozesse ein und unterstützt weniger erfahrene Software Engineers in ihrer fachlichen Weiterentwicklung. Wir suchen eine erfahrene Software-Persönlichkeit, die komplexe technische Zusammenhänge versteht, hohe Ansprüche an Codequalität stellt und robuste sowie langfristig wartbare Lösungen entwickelt. Due to our growth and to strengthen our software team, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Senior Software Engineer – Backend. Your Role As a Senior Software Engineer – Backend, you will develop powerful and reliable backend services and software components based on modern C++ and actively shape their technical architecture. You will work on production-near systems where performance, stability and reliable communication between different components are critical. In doing so, you will operate at the interfaces between hardware, network communication and backend services. You will take responsibility for technical decisions, contribute your experience to reviews and development processes, and support less experienced software engineers in their professional development. We are looking for an experienced software professional who understands complex technical contexts, sets high standards for code quality and develops robust, long-term maintainable solutions. Requirements Who are we looking for C++ Experience: You have several years of professional experience in modern C++ development, ideally with C++17, C++20 or C++23.Software Engineering: You have a solid understanding of object-oriented design, concurrency, memory management and cross-platform software development.Backend Architectures: You bring experience with backend architectures, distributed systems or high-performance computing.Network Communication: You are familiar with network communication and protocols such as TCP/UDP as well as REST, gRPC and serialisation formats like JSON or Protobuf.Development Tools: You are proficient with CMake, Git and CI/CD workflows.Code Quality: You write clean, maintainable and well-structured code and value robust and sustainable technical solutions.Debugging and Optimisation: You have strong skills in debugging, profiling and performance optimisation.Communication Skills: You communicate clearly, work in a solution-oriented manner and contribute constructively to technical decision-making processes.Commitment: You identify with Skysec Defence’s mission and goals, take ownership, and contribute to your area of responsibility and the continued development of our company with a high level of commitment and accountability.
