Job Description:
Your Mission
As a Senior UI Engineer, you will be responsible for coding and engineering UI menus and widgets throughout the entire Call of Duty user experience.
You will need to possess practical knowledge of model-view architectural patterns to be used in conjunction with Lua scripting and C++ to successfully implement content for our Engine.
Qualified candidates will need to have a strong background in engineering graphical interfaces as well as the data behind them.
A well-rounded understanding of console and FPS user experiences will hold candidates in good stead.
This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Developing, modifying, and debugging UI software in Lua and C/C++.Building functional User Interfaces using proprietary UI editors.Deploying, evaluating performance, optimizing and testing UI software on PC and console platforms.Working closely with other UIX disciplines as well as designers and other engineers to create an exceptional overall user experience.
Collaborating with other departments such as Production, Art, Audio, QA, etc.Co-developing and collaborating with other Activision studios within our shared Engine.Maintaining and improving developer tools that improve the productivity of the global UI team.Detailing software and features for internal and external engineering teams.Participating in scheduling, design, performance and code review process.
This role is located at Sledgehammer Games’ Melbourne studio in a hybrid working capacity.

5+ years of UI experience in game developmentShowed strength in and knowledge of C/C++, data structures and performanceLua scripting language experience (or similar)
