Senior Java Engineer | Elite Asset Management Team | Hong Kong I’m working with a leading global asset manager that’s hiring a Java Engineer for its expanding Hong Kong technology team. You’ll build modern services supporting trading, accounts, payments, settlement, reconciliation, and other business-critical workflows. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-impact systems within a well-established investment business undergoing significant technology growth. What You’ll Be Doing Build and maintain production-grade backend services in Java or Python.Develop microservices, APIs and integrations supporting trading and post-trade systems.Build workflows across settlement, reconciliation, cash management and reporting.Improve system performance, scalability and reliability.Own delivery from technical design through deployment and production support. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of commercial Java or Python backend development experience.Strong experience with microservices, APIs, batch processing and SQL databases.Solid fundamentals in OOP, data structures and clean code.Experience in trading, securities, wealth management or financial services.Understanding of middle/back-office or post-trade workflows.Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have Distributed, high-concurrency or highly available systems.Low-latency trading or real-time data experience.GraphQL, NoSQL or workflow orchestration tools.Modern CI/CD and Agile practices.
