About The Role

You will contribute directly to production systems from day one, working alongside the client’s engineering team to improve platform reliability, resolve complex customer-facing issues, and enhance key infrastructure components across API, control plane, and fleet-management services.
Responsibilities
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues across APIs, control plane services, and web applications, ensuring reliable customer experiences and platform stabilityOwn bug resolution from analysis through implementation, delivering high-quality fixes that improve system consistency, accuracy, and performanceCollaborate closely with client engineers, infrastructure specialists, and observability stakeholders to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutionsDevelop and enhance Go-based services running across a fleet of 5,000+ machines, improving maintainability, resilience, and operational efficiencyIncrease test coverage and establish effective testing strategies for services interacting with operating system components and external commandsRefactor existing code to improve context propagation, cancellation handling, concurrency patterns, and overall software qualityContribute to the modernization of the client’s Terraform provider, expanding support across the full platform API and improving the developer experienceBalance technical debt remediation with business priorities, making pragmatic engineering decisions that support long-term platform evolution
Requirements
5+ years of production experience with Go; systems-level engineering in distributed environments will be a plusAbility to diagnose and resolve complex issues in live production systems beyond straightforward defect fixesUnderstanding of Linux fundamentals, including processes, namespaces, cgroups, and container runtime behavior will be a plusPractical knowledge of concurrency patterns, context management, and scalable distributed system designNetworking fundamentals within distributed and multi-region infrastructure environmentsExperience working with codebases that contain technical debt and the ability to identify high-impact improvement opportunitiesStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with client-side engineers and stakeholdersGood English proficiency for effective communication in a global environment
