Being an end-to-end feature team for the web-based multi-device experience for Google Messages, this position also provides a unique opportunity to explore beyond web or Android development. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Develop new features for Google Messages for Web (messages.google.com/web), which is the desktop companion web app for Google Messages.Integrate features with backend systems and interface with the Google Messages app on Android.Work with UX designers and product managers to refine requirements for the feature, as well as fellow Software Engineers to determine the right architecture.
