Senior DevOps Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX - Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Relocation: Candidates open to relocation are encouraged to apply The Opportunity Our client, a growing global organization making significant investments in its technology platform and infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join its technology team in San Antonio. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with meaningful ownership for how software is built, released, deployed and supported across a diverse application environment. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation and release engineering supporting desktop, web and mobile applications used throughout the business and by customers in the field. The ideal candidate brings substantial overall technology experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering experience, deep cloud expertise, strong infrastructure-as-code capabilities and a track record of building reliable, automated release pipelines. What You'll Do Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple application environmentsOwn significant portions of the release lifecycle across desktop, web and mobile applicationsDrive automation initiatives that reduce manual processes and improve deployment speed, consistency and reliabilityDevelop and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practicesSupport containerized applications and orchestration environmentsPartner closely with software engineering and product teams throughout the development and release lifecycleTroubleshoot complex deployment, infrastructure and application delivery issuesDevelop scripts and automation tooling using Python, Bash and/or PowerShellParticipate in code reviews and quality assurance activities as neededProvide estimates for technical work and consistently deliver against commitmentsHelp improve DevOps standards, processes and engineering practices as the organization continues to scale What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceSubstantial overall technology experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or a closely related disciplineDemonstrated experience operating at a senior engineer level, with ownership of production infrastructure, deployment processes and/or release engineeringStrong experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform such as AWS or GCPHands-on experience building, maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelinesExperience with tools such as Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions and/or JenkinsStrong understanding and hands-on use of Infrastructure as CodeHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesScripting and automation experience using Python, Bash and/or PowerShellExperience supporting software releases across web, desktop and/or mobile application environmentsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a high-performing technical team Why Consider This Opportunity?
