Description

Position Overview We're a stealth, early-stage company building AI systems for wellbeing. We're looking for an intern to help us build and improve our software across web and mobile. What you'll do You'll work across the stack — user-facing features on web and mobile, backend APIs and services, and the plumbing in between. That means building new features, fixing bugs, writing tests, and supporting work on authentication and access control. We care about secure, privacy-conscious development, and you'll pick up those habits from day one. You'll take part in code reviews and technical discussions, document what you build, and work with us to break larger problems into manageable pieces. When something's unclear or blocked, we expect you to say so early. Who we're looking for Currently pursuing or recently finished a degree in computer science or a related technical field.Strong fundamentals in at least one modern programming language, and a working sense of how frontends, backends, APIs, and databases fit together.Methodical when things break: you investigate, form a hypothesis, and can explain your reasoning.Comfortable with Git, and comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies as you go.Able to work independently in a remote setup and communicate clearly in writing.Academic, personal, open-source, and prior internship projects all count as evidence. Nice to have Experience with any of: modern frontend frameworks, backend or API development, iOS/Swift, databases and cloud services, auth or security work, automated testing or CI/CD, or academic/research work in scientific fields, healthcare, or wellbeing. What you'll get Real ownership. You'll take features from requirements through deployment as yours to drive, with review and support along the way. You'll build engineering judgment through code review, debugging, and trade-off discussions, and leave with shipped work you can point to. Strong performers may be considered for an extension or future full-time roles, depending on performance and business needs. Working arrangement Fully remote, 3–6 months, with possibility of extension. We're flexible around academic commitments and happy to support applicants seeking academic credit. Compensation commensurate with applicant experience. How to apply Send us a short note introducing yourself, with a link to a GitHub profile, portfolio, or relevant project if you have one. Tell us about one software project you helped build: what you personally contributed, the hardest technical problem you hit, and how you approached it.
