Mobile Software Developer (.NET & Cross Platform) Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on Experience) Job Type: Permanent | Full Time The Opportunity We're working with a well-established technology business that's investing heavily in its in-house software engineering capability. As part of the continued growth of their mobile development team, they're looking to recruit a Mobile Software Developer with a passion for building high-quality mobile applications and a desire to continue developing their skills within the Microsoft technology stack. This role would suit an experienced mobile developer who has worked with either native or cross-platform technologies and has commercial experience within the .NET ecosystem. Experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin is beneficial but not essential as full support and training will be provided. The Role Working within a collaborative Agile development team, you will: Develop and maintain modern mobile applications.Build new features and enhance existing functionality.Investigate and resolve issues across both mobile and backend systems.Work with REST APIs and backend services.Collaborate closely with developers, testers and product stakeholders.Analyse performance issues and contribute to continuous improvement.Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Help shape the future direction of the mobile platform. What We're Looking For Essential At least 2 years' commercial experience developing software using C# and/or .NET.At least 2 years' commercial experience developing mobile applications.Experience developing either:Native Android (Java/Kotlin)Native iOS (Swift/Objective-C)React NativeFlutterXamarinIonicOr another commercial mobile framework.Experience working with REST APIs and backend services.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.A collaborative attitude with a genuine desire to continue learning. Desirable Experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.ASP.NET Core or other .NET web technologies.MVVM architecture.SQL databases.Azure.CI/CD pipelines.Agile development.
