Role Description The DevOps Engineer role is a full-time hybrid position based in Košice, with the flexibility to work partly from home.
In this role, the DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure.
Daily activities include building and managing CI pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues in production and staging environments.
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for improving system reliability, optimizing resource usage, and ensuring smooth integration of new features and services.
The role also involves documenting solutions, following best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the DevOps landscape.
Qualifications
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with experience in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar solutions.Software Development experience, including scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Java, or comparable languages) to automate workflows and integrations.Hands-on Continuous Integration experience, working with CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools) to build and maintain pipelines.Solid System Administration background, including managing servers, networks, and security configurations in enterprise environments.Proficiency in Linux environments, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting on distributions commonly used in production.Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools, and a focus on reliability, performance, and security best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and strong written and verbal communication in English.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
