Senior Backend Engineer

They’re now hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a cross‑functional product team working on human performance and athlete data. You’ll be hands‑on, influential and trusted from day one. They offer tons of autonomy & a very mature environment connecting you with likeminded engineers & other stakeholders. You will honestly work on some cutting edge and very exciting greenfield work (including streaming/ wearable tech/ product engineering) that is used by professional sports teams. What you’ll be doing Building and shaping data heavy backend systems & APIsMaking technical and product decisions in a fast‑moving, high‑autonomy environmentWorking on high level architecture and systems design for robust backend systemsPlaying a key role in working on a core product in one of their domainsMentoring other engineers and helping set standards as the product scalesSolving real, messy problems where the answers aren’t always obvious You need: Solid backend experience with C# or a similar backend language (open to any but they are a C# house with Node/ Rust)Experience in systems design/ architecture (this is part of their interview process + a big part of their day to day for a Senior Engineer) - They are looking for real ownership!"Large-scale applications" experience + Real scale evidence (regulated or high-stakes domains a big plus!)Deploy velocity / CI-CD maturityThe ability to influence change and help drive decisionsA product mindsetSomeone who is a great communicator and have worked in a large cross functional engineering teamExperience working in a data heavy environment The tech (experience here helps, but mindset matters more) C#/ .NetNodeAWS, a mix of relational and non‑relational data stores.Also open to solid engineers from other backgrounds..
