Join our Central Capabilities team within Enterprise Technology, where you will help build, support and enhance cloud-based platforms that enable critical business services across the organisation. Working with modern AWS technologies and Confluent Kafka, you will contribute to scalable, secure and highly available solutions while driving operational excellence, automation and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in managing and supporting cloud infrastructure and platform services, with a particular focus on AWS and Confluent Kafka. Working closely with platform tenants and engineering teams, you will provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the reliability, performance and security of critical systems. You will monitor and optimise platform performance, participate in incident management and on-call support, and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. You will also help design and implement scalable cloud solutions, onboard new technologies, and evaluate emerging tools that support future business needs. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will drive automation, improve operational processes, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the central platform. What You Offer 2+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer or similar role, with strong AWS experienceGood understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking and security domainsExperience with infrastructure automation and scripting using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python or BashExposure to Confluent Kafka or other messaging platforms such as AWS SQS and SNS is an advantageExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, and familiarity with incident management and operational support practicesStrong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
