About The Job Junior Software Engineer – Full Stack Zagreb | Hybrid F24 is Europe’s leading provider of crisis management and emergency notification software, helping thousands of organisations around the world respond quickly and effectively during critical situations. As we continue to grow our Zagreb Engineering Centre of Excellence, we’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Suite engineering team. This is an opportunity to develop your career within an experienced product engineering team, working across both frontend and backend technologies while contributing to software that supports organisations during critical situations. The Suite team is developing a modern platform that brings together capabilities from across F24’s product portfolio. You’ll gain exposure to the full development lifecycle and work with technologies including React, TypeScript, Node.js and Python. We don't expect you to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with good software development fundamentals, curiosity and a genuine desire to become a strong full-stack engineer. You Develop frontend functionality using React and TypeScriptContribute to backend services using Node.js and PythonBuild and integrate with REST APIsWork with reusable frontend components and modern UI patternsWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested codeFix bugs and troubleshoot issues across the applicationParticipate in code reviews and learn from more experienced engineersContribute to automated testingWork alongside Product, Design, QA and other engineersLearn modern software development practices including CI/CD and cloud-native developmentTake increasing ownership of features as your experience develops What You'll Bring A good foundation in software developmentKnowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScriptSome experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular or VueUnderstanding of backend development using technologies such as Node.js, Python or a comparable languageBasic understanding of REST APIs and JSONFamiliarity with GitUnderstanding of HTML and CSSAn interest in both frontend and backend developmentStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learnGood communication skills and an interest in working collaboratively Your experience could come from a first commercial software engineering role, internship, university projects, bootcamp, open-source contributions or strong personal projects.
