Role Description The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that power Milya AI’s dental automation platform.
Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing back-end services and APIs, optimizing system performance, collaborating with product and design teams, and ensuring code quality through reviews and automated testing.
The engineer will work closely with data and AI teams to integrate machine learning components into production systems and contribute to technical decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement of the codebase.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teammates in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.Practical experience in Software Development and Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining production systems.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).Familiarity with web services, APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).Knowledge of software testing, version control (Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, communicate clearly, and take ownership of technical tasks.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with AI, machine learning, or healthcare technology is an asset.
