Technica is seeking a Front End Developer, Senior. As a Senior Front‑end Developer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, building, and optimizing modern user interfaces that support mission‑critical applications. You will lead the development of scalable, high‑performance front‑end solutions using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS‑hosted environments, ensuring seamless integration with .NET back‑end services. In this role, you will mentor mid‑level developers, set engineering standards, and champion best practices in code quality, accessibility, and performance. You will collaborate closely with designers, back‑end engineers, product owners, and mission stakeholders to deliver intuitive, secure, and reliable user experiences that meet evolving customer and program needs. Drawing on deep technical expertise and strong problem‑solving skills, you will help guide architectural decisions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure front‑end components operate effectively within enterprise‑grade systems. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSArchitect modular, maintainable, and scalable UI component libraries aligned with modern engineering standardsMentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior frontend developers, including reviewing code, coaching on best practices, and supporting skill developmentIntegrate frontend applications with backend .NET services using REST APIs, JSON, and XMLDrive client-side state management patterns, rendering optimization, and performance tuning for enterprise-grade applicationsCollaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product owners to ensure seamless end-to-end functionalityEstablish and enforce coding standards, accessibility guidelines, and quality controls across the frontend codebaseUse Git and GitLab for version control, branching strategies, and merge request workflowsTroubleshoot complex UI issues across environments, platforms, and browsers, providing root-cause analysis and actionable remediationOperate within AWS cloud-hosted environments and support integration, deployments, and environment troubleshootingPromote a culture of high-quality engineering through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessionsSupport planning, estimation, and architectural discussions for new features and modernization effortsPartner with teams to ensure frontend solutions meet accessibility, security, and performance requirementsReview code and container scans and remediate both code and package vulnerabilities on a regular basis. The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services. The annual base salary range for this position is $157,000 - $185,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
