About The Role United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a newly formed team dedicated to building custom solutions that extend our award-winning employee communications platform. In this role, you will be responsible for owning solutions from inception to deployment, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and translating those into scalable, reliable features. You will have the opportunity to influence how the team operates, set engineering standards, and mentor mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous learning. As part of our dynamic environment, you will work with a modern tech stack, including React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, Java, and more, to develop high-quality, well-tested solutions that meet real customer needs. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of professional experience as a fullstack developer, with a proven track record of owning solutions end-to-end. Strong frontend skills in React.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript are essential, complemented by solid backend experience with Kotlin, Java, or Node.js. You should be confident working with REST APIs, SDKs, and integrating with third-party systems. Experience mentoring or guiding less-experienced developers, along with the ability to bring structure and best practices to a team, is highly desirable. Fluency in both English and German—both written and spoken—is required, as you will collaborate closely with German-speaking stakeholders and customers. A self-starter attitude, excellent communication skills, and an appreciation for diversity and inclusivity are key to success in this role. Responsibilities Own the development of custom solutions from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring high quality and reliability.Collaborate with stakeholders—including customers, consultants, and internal teams—to define use cases, gather requirements, and validate solutions post-implementation.Develop across the entire stack, including customer-facing UI components using React and TypeScript, backend services, and integrations with internal and third-party APIs.Mentor and guide mid-level engineers, establishing engineering standards, best practices, and fostering a collaborative team environment.Participate in an agile, cross-functional team to produce well-tested, maintainable code, and continuously improve development processes.Maintain a healthy CI/CD pipeline, automate processes where applicable, and ensure rapid iteration and deployment cycles.Engage in code reviews, give and receive constructive feedback, and share knowledge to promote team growth and technical excellence.Translate complex business needs into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
