We’re hiring a Senior Front-End Principal Engineer in Sydney! Full-time, Hybrid, Sydney About Style Arcade Ever gone shopping and can’t find your size? Style Arcade is Australia’s leading fashion analytics and merchandise financial planning tool used by Adidas, David Jones, Ralph Lauren, Whitefox and hundreds more great brands. We’re looking for a talented and user-focused Front End Architect to help make highly complex financial planning software feel seamless and effortless to use, and engineered with careful layering to balance high-speed innovation with performance and reliability. Think: real-time collaborative editing of large scale data systems with complex relationships and sophisticated scenario planning, where user experience will have to stay coherent while working with our rich backend data model. You’ll also help us build AI powered features that are fast-paced, visual and interactive. What you’ll own: The front end architecture of the app and knowing how the design interacts with our data model an state management to allow for a real time, collaborative product to continue to scaleThe standard of our front end engineering across the team from code quality, testing, review process and deliveryTooling and processes to streamline collaboration between product and engineering and reduce iterationsGuiding key decisions, unblocking hard problems and raising the bar for the team day to dayInfluence on the product roadmap, working closely with product to align technical dependencies and delivery value early to users What you’ll bring: Expertise in 5+ years in React/Typescript and 3+ years in ReduxA structured thinker and great at designing our user interactions work with a complex backend systems while balancing trade offsPrior experience in tech leadership roleEnjoy mentoring other engineers and developing team capabilitiesA strong desire to learn something new and flex your skills outside your comfort zone
