.NET Engineer

We’re expanding our team and looking for a .NET Engineer to join an exciting project for our UK client in the betting industry. You’ll be part of a team building a social betting app that connects users and makes betting more interactive and engaging. What you’ll be doing: Designing, building and implementing functionalities on a service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform Co-owning the development lifecycle for developed features, ensuring strict QA and release management Integrating and communicating with industry-leading 3rd party providers for betting, finance, and customer processes Maintaining and optimizing SQL databases with high-throughput replication scenarios Refactoring and decoupling modules that have outgrown their initial architecture Identifying and troubleshooting issues using cloud monitoring tools, assisting non-engineering departments What we are looking for in a .NET Engineer is: Product-oriented mindset – ability to understand the products you work on, as well as their data, business requirements, and overall impact. Experience with iGaming - especially online casino experience Strong architectural understanding – ability to evaluate and distinguish good vs. poor system design, design scalable systems, and understand architectural trade-offs. 5+ years of experience with .NET AI enabled / using AI assisted coding tools Experience with microservice architecture Experience in event-driven architectures (Azure Event Hub, Kafka) Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker Experience with or understand test automation, CI pipeline, shipping code often Experience with high-traffic B2C systems Understanding of observability (Grafana etc) Great interpersonal and communication skills, can work with all stakeholders Proactive and pushing forward, team-oriented, and results-focused Excellent English speaking skills and articulation A little bit about us: Pontis Technology is a Croatian IT services company with offices in Croatia, Germany, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
