Role Description The Senior Software Engineer – Laravel & SaaS will provide strong technical leadership across the company’s existing and new software products.
The company uses an AI-assisted development approach in which developers use AI tools for coding, testing, documentation and technical problem-solving.
Therefore, this position is not primarily focused on manually writing every line of code.
The Senior Software Engineer will ensure that solutions produced by developers and AI tools are technically correct, secure, scalable, maintainable and properly tested.
The position will work closely with the Product & Software Delivery Director, product and module owners, QA, Support, DevOps and Management.
The role combines hands-on technical problem-solving, architecture guidance, code review, developer mentoring and SaaS product-quality ownership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.Preferably 4–6 years of relevant professional software-development experience.Strong practical experience with PHP and Laravel.Experience building or maintaining SaaS, ERP, business-management or other complex operational software.Strong knowledge of relational databases, database design and query optimization.Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations and authentication.Understanding of scalable and multi-tenant application architecture.Practical experience with Git, branching, code review and release-management practices.Knowledge of automated testing, debugging, logging and performance optimization.Understanding of web-application security, permissions and data protection.Experience reviewing or mentoring other developers.Experience with cloud deployment, CI/CD or DevOps practices will be an advantage.Experience with AI-assisted development tools will be highly valued.Experience with hotel-management systems, accounting software, inventory, POS, restaurant, spa, travel or other business-operational systems will be an additional advantage.
