About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developer / ERP Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance our Dynamics NAV environment and the business-critical applications, integrations, and processes that depend on it. This role will be heavily focused on NAV development, support, troubleshooting, and optimization, while also designing and building custom applications, APIs, web solutions, and system integrations using technologies such as Python, React, SQL Server, and Docker. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, including web services, SQL Server integration, data structures, and business process support within a manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires the ability to partner with business stakeholders, resolve complex ERP and operational challenges, improve processes through automation and reporting, and take ownership of solutions from initial design through ongoing production support. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance business-critical applications supporting manufacturing and business operations.Support, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the applications and integrations that depend on it.Design, develop, and support custom applications and solutions that extend existing ERP and enterprise systems.Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, web applications, and system integrations using modern software development technologies.Develop and maintain integrations between Microsoft Dynamics NAV, internal applications, external systems, databases, and business partners.Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, data models, and data integration processes.Support reporting, analytics, ETL/ELT processes, workflow automation, and data pipelines.Work directly with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.Investigate and resolve application, data, integration, and business-process issues, including manufacturing, inventory, costing, and transaction discrepancies.Identify opportunities to improve business processes through better use of existing NAV functionality, application enhancements, integrations, reporting, and automation.Provide production support for business-critical applications and take ownership of issues through investigation, resolution, testing, deployment, and follow-up.Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners as required to resolve technical issues and deliver solutions.Troubleshoot issues that may span applications, databases, servers, authentication, certificates, and network dependencies.Maintain appropriate technical and operational documentation for applications, integrations, support procedures, and technical solutions.Evaluate technical solutions and build-versus-buy alternatives considering business value, maintainability, security, operational impact, and total cost of ownership. Qualifications Strong, current hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, including application support, development, integration, troubleshooting, and production environments.Experience working with NAV Web Services, business logic, data structures, and SQL Server integration.Demonstrated hands-on software or application development experience in production environments.Strong backend application development skills using Python or comparable technologies.Experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, or comparable technologies.Strong Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, data analysis, and query optimization.Experience designing, developing, and consuming APIs and Web Services for enterprise application integration.Experience with Docker, Linux application hosting, and containerized application deployment.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and support production applications across application, database, integration, and infrastructure layers.Proven ability to gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate operational needs into technical solutions.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of business-critical applications and technical solutions from design through production support.Relevant technical education, professional training, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience. Preferred Skills Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.Understanding of manufacturing processes including Bills of Material, routings, production orders, inventory, purchasing, costing, consumption, and production output.Experience investigating manufacturing, inventory, costing, and ledger-related discrepancies using ERP and underlying transactional data.Experience extending legacy enterprise applications through modern applications, APIs, integrations, and data platforms.Experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence and reporting platforms.Experience with workflow automation and data orchestration technologies such as Power Automate, Airflow, n8n, or comparable platforms.Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, enterprise authentication/SSO, Azure and/or AWS.General understanding of enterprise networking and security concepts, including VPN, certificates, DNS, and application connectivity dependencies.Experience with Redis or comparable caching and high-performance data-access technologies.Practical experience applying automation or AI technologies to business processes.
