Sharepoint Developer

Role: Sharepoint Developer Location: Melbourne preferred but open to all AUS locations Start: 21-SEP-2026 End: 12-FEB-2027 Role purpose Lead the technical delivery of the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition in an Azure IaaS-hosted environment. The role is accountable for establishing a repeatable farm-build validating and remediating custom SharePoint solutions, and supporting migration through testing, cutover, rollback and operational handover. Key responsibilities • Build and configure new SharePoint Subscription Edition farms on Azure IaaS. • Recreate farm topology, web applications, service applications, authentication, certificates, permissions and service accounts. • Perform database readiness checks and database-attach upgrades. • Configure and validate Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store. • Assess, deploy and remediate WSP and full-trust farm solutions. • Troubleshoot custom C# components, including Web Parts, event receivers and Feature receivers. • Validate workflows, Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, MSAL, REST and WCF integrations. • Support HA, load balancing, DNS, networking and security configuration. • Support testing, Production cutover, rollback and hypercare. • Establish a reusable upgrade pattern across all environments. Mandatory technical skills Must have: • SharePoint Server 2016 and Subscription Edition • Direct SharePoint 2016 to Subscription Edition upgrades • Database-attach upgrade experience • SharePoint farm administration and PowerShell • WSP/full-trust solutions and SharePoint Server Object Model • Knowledge of C# and .NET Framework 4.8 • Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store • IIS, SQL connectivity, authentication and certificates • ULS, IIS and SharePoint upgrade-log troubleshooting • Azure IaaS-hosted, load-balanced SharePoint farms Additional Preferred: • Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID • MSAL / Oauth • Microsoft Graph • REST/WCF integrations • Visual Studio/MSBuild and SharePoint solution packagin • CI/CD for SharePoint WSP deployment • SharePoint security hardening • Production cutover and DR experience
