C# and C++ Developer, Windows Jeppesen ForeFlight Remote from anywhere in Poland The product Flight Deck Pro, a Windows application used by pilots and airline operations teams, and CDL, their native library that delivers navigation and document data to the aircraft. UWP and XAML on the front, C# for the application logic, C++ underneath. Looking for: - Experience with C# and C++14 or newer - Windows client development - UWP and XAML, or WPF - Visual Studio, MSBuild, NuGet, Windows SDK - Asynchronous programming and multithreaded workflows - Large existing codebases and legacy components - Debugging across C#, C++ and the native/managed boundary - Unit and integration testing - HTTP and REST integrations, error handling, retries, logging - Certificates, authentication flows and secure storage - A degree in software engineering, computer science, electronics and telecommunications, or a related technical field - Communicative English for daily work with stakeholders in the United States - Polish, the language the team uses day to day Nice to have C++/CX or C++/WinRT. DirectX, OpenGL, Win2D or map and graphics rendering. SQLite or other local persistence. SDK and library development. OpenSSL or certificate and crypto work. Swift, Objective-C or Xcode. Open source or multi-repo development. What the role offers - Polish employment contract, 20,000 to 23,000 PLN gross per month - Fully remote from anywhere in Poland, around ten office days a year in Gdansk - Private health insurance and pension - Annual bonus of roughly one month's salary - Extra days off over Christmas - KUP arrangement for copyright on the work - Software used in aviation, with the quality standards that come with it The role requires the right to live and work in Poland. There is no relocation support. About the company Jeppesen has put navigation data in the hands of pilots since 1934. Together with ForeFlight, the company's software is used in cockpits and airline operations centres around the world, where pilots plan, brief and fly with it every day. Gdansk is one of their main engineering sites in Europe.
