Description

Product Engineer (Python / AI Agents) — Munich hub, remote-friendly across Germany or Austria One of Europe's fastest-growing B2B AI companies just went through a major private-equity-backed merger and is now in a serious hiring phase to match. Data and AI sovereignty for enterprise is the mission; a small, founder-led, entrepreneurial team (40+ across Germany and Austria) is the engine behind it. This is a rare "get in while it's still small" seat. What you ship this month is what customers use next month - no layers between you and the impact. What you'd own You'd join the cluster that owns the company's deepest platform dependencies - the AI agent engine itself and everything it depends on. Concretely: Ship features end to end: agent tools, integration work, API and data-model changes, tests, all the way to productionBuild and maintain integrations - especially Microsoft Graph (Teams, Outlook, calendar, SharePoint, Planner) and other third-party APIs, including the OAuth flows behind themWork the LLM/agent layer directly: tool and function calling, retrieval/RAG, and prompt, token, cost and latency tuningHandle multi-tenant data and database migrations correctly, and help keep a custom message-processing loop reliable under concurrencyGet hands-on with the runtime: Docker, CI/CD, logs and metrics - and help mentor a more junior engineer as the team growsStack: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Graph, the major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), a vector store (Weaviate), Docker, GitHub Actions, plus a bit of front end where needed (Alpine.js, Tailwind, vanilla JS). You're likely a fit if you have: 3+ years building backend systems in Python, solid with Django (ORM, views, middleware) and REST APIsExperience integrating third-party APIs and OAuth2 - Microsoft Graph/365 is a strong bonusHands-on time with LLM/AI APIs (tool calling, RAG or similar), or the fundamentals to ramp fastComfortable with SQL, Git, testing, reading someone else's codebase and respecting its patternsNo problem owning the operational side - Docker, CI/CD, debugging a live system Genuinely startup-minded people do best here: this is a team that wants you to take initiative, use whatever resources get the problem solved, and be AI-native yourself - smart, pragmatic use of AI tooling in how you build, not just what you build. Set-up: Based anywhere in Germany or Austria - home office or co-working space both work. There's a Munich hub for when you want to be in person, and the team is genuinely flexible about how you structure your week around life outside work. English is fine day to day for this role; German is a huge bonus, not a requirement. Package: Roughly €70,000–€100,000 depending on experience and level, plus Wellpass (gym/pool/studio access across Germany) and real ownership on a platform with real enterprise customers. They are looking to make multiple hires and open to Mid-senior level engineers. 📩 Apply now!
