Full Stack Java Developer (Frontend-Focused)

Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer (Frontend-Focused) Location: Montreal, Quebec — Hybrid (local candidates Only) Job Description: We're seeking a Frontend-focused Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern UI development, combined with solid DevOps and application deployment experience. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in frontend architecture, CI/CD, deployment automation, and application support within enterprise environments. While knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and Tomcat is required, deep backend development expertise is not mandatory — candidates with moderate Java experience and stronger frontend/DevOps skills are preferred. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using modern frontend and backend technologiesDevelop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and AngularBuild and support backend services, APIs, and business logic using Java and Spring FrameworkDeploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Apache Tomcat environmentsCollaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and developers to deliver quality softwareParticipate in application design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremoniesPerform application support and troubleshooting using Unix/Linux command-line toolsOptimize application performance, reliability, security, and scalabilityContribute to release planning, testing, deployment, and production support Basic Qualifications: 5+ years Frontend Development experience with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular (Mandatory)5+ years Backend Development experience with Java, Spring Framework, Apache Tomcat (Preferred)Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, DevOps deployments, shell command execution (Mandatory)Experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade web applicationsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Nice to Have: Mobile application development experience (iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks)Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API developmentPrevious experience in financial services or other regulated industries Travel: Hybrid model from Montreal, Quebec, with regular attendance at the client office as required.
