Full Stack Engineer — New Project We’re a consumer business and are searching for a versatile technical leader to own the development of new products. You’ll join at the earliest stage, working alongside company leadership to turn an initial idea concept into a secure, intuitive product. You’ll have significant influence over the technology stack, system design, user experience, vendor selection, and development priorities. Some of the platform’s core capabilities will be supported by specialized technology providers. Your role will be to connect those systems, build the custom functionality surrounding them, and ensure the complete product operates as one cohesive experience. Build the core platform Design the platform’s data models, services, and backend infrastructureDevelop a modern, intuitive web / mobile application optimized for consumer useCreate secure registration, login, account-management, and identity-verification experiences Develop the infrastructure Develop reconciliation processes that keep internal records aligned with external providersProtect the integrity, security, and consistency of customer data Own external integrations Review and understand the technical capabilities of prospective vendorsIntegrate APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and externally hosted servicesDetermine which capabilities should be developed internally and which can be provided by partnersAccount for outages, delayed responses, duplicate events, and other integration failure scenariosWork directly with vendor engineering teams to resolve issues and improve reliability Support the wider operationBuild administrative interfaces for customer service, finance, compliance, and risk teamsImplement product analytics, operational reporting, and performance trackingCollaborate with leadership on feature definition and launch prioritiesUse customer behaviour and commercial objectives to guide product improvementsMake front end decisions What You BringMeaningful experience as a senior full-stack engineer, lead engineer, technical founder, or early-stage product engineerA track record of taking consumer-facing software from an early concept into productionDeep knowledge of backend development, relational databases, application architecture, and API designPractical experience integrating complex third-party systemsPrevious exposure to payment processing, digital balances, deposits, payouts, wallets, or comparable transactional functionalityAn understanding of ledger design, reconciliation, webhooks, idempotency, and transaction lifecyclesFamiliarity with identity verification, payment risk, fraud controls, disputes, and chargebacksGood judgment around application security, access controls, privacy, and sensitive customer informationThe ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information and evolving requirementsExperience building products in fintech, marketplaces, gaming, digital commerce, loyalty, rewards, or another high-volume consumer category would be particularly valuable. On any given day, you may be: Mapping a new customer journeyStructuring a databaseReviewing an API specificationRefining an interfaceDiscussing how a feature could affect conversion, retention, risk, or profitabilityYou don’t require every task to arrive as a detailed technical specification. You can clarify the objective, identify the dependencies, recommend an approach, and take responsibility for delivering the result.
