Tasks Design, maintain, and improve cloud platform services based on Kubernetes, containers, IaC, DevOps, and GitOps practices. Develop and maintain CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD. Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions. Manage platform releases, including bug fixes, vulnerability remediation, and platform upgrades. Support container image lifecycle management, hardening, and security scanning. Collaborate with Cloud Operations teams on networking, access controls, backups, monitoring, and security controls. Assist with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and third-level production support. Contribute to automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. About the position For our Software Engineering Team at our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, we are looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to design, develop, automate, and maintain ndd’s cloud platform services. In this role, you will help drive cloud technology initiatives, optimize platform performance and reliability, and ensure secure, scalable, and compliant operations across our digital ecosystem. Location: Zurich, Switzerland Your profile Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Medical Engineering, or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in:DevOps and CI/CD (preferably Azure DevOps).GitOps tools and practices (preferably ArgoCD).Kubernetes and container technologies.Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor).Container image security and vulnerability management.Agile environments (Scrum).1+ years of experience in:AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as Helm and service mesh technologies (preferably Istio). Cloud infrastructure and networking concepts. Cloud security controls (RBAC, networking, image hardening, policy management). Authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth2, OIDC, and Single Sign-On (SSO). Azure Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). Security and code-scanning tools such as Trivy, Snyk, or SonarQube. Public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Fluent in English; Knowlegde of German and additional languages are an advantage.
