Description We are seeking a Senior Dev/Ops Engineer III to maintain and optimize our technology infrastructure. You will work with advanced systems and contribute to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This position offers opportunities to work with systems that support Thermo Fisher customers, implement innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement across our infrastructure. In this role, you will function as a working supervisor, performing hands-on technical work while providing leadership to team members. You will design, implement, and maintain critical infrastructure systems, develop automation solutions, and ensure high availability of services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions while maintaining security and compliance standards. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic thinking and leadership skills to support our organization's digital transformation initiatives. Requirements Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management and operationsPreferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fieldExperience as a working supervisor with demonstrated leadership and coaching skillsIndustry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, NetApp, VMware) preferredStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware)Expertise in Windows and/or Linux server administration and configurationProficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting)Experience with storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planningUnderstanding of networking protocols, security principles, and best practicesKnowledge of ITIL processes and IT service managementStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with monitoring tools and performance optimizationExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to participate in rotation coverage as neededExperience with configuration management and infrastructure as codeStrong documentation and process improvement skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience in regulated environments (GxP, SOX) preferred
