Your Role
As an OUTFRONT DevOps Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud governance, and AI-enabled operations.
You will design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure, enforce standardized DevOps practices, and help transition the organization toward a repeatable, automated, and intelligence-driven delivery model.
Working under the Director of DevOps, you will:
Act as a technical leader and platform owner, not just an operatorDrive standardization across CI/CD, infrastructure, and observabilityContribute to AI-assisted DevOps workflows, including agent-enabled automation, intelligent alerting, and operational insights
This role is critical to enabling OUTFRONT’s mission of building scalable, governed, and AI-ready digital infrastructure platforms.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with talented peers across time zones and contribute to high-impact platforms foundational to our business.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Platform & Infrastructure
Design and implement AWS infrastructure aligned to cloud governance standards, account structure, and security policiesSupport multi-account AWS environments with proper isolation (Dev/Stage/Prod) and SCP enforcementDrive infrastructure standardization across application teamsCI/CD & Delivery Engineering
Build and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline)Enforce single pipeline patterns, approval workflows, and release consistencyDrive adoption of GitOps and automation-first deployment modelsInfrastructure as Code (IaC)
Develop and maintain IaC modules using Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormationEnforce versioning, code review standards, and drift detection practicesPartner with engineering teams to ensure consistent implementationObservability, Monitoring & Reliability
Implement unified logging, metrics, and alerting strategies across platformsDefine and maintain SLO/SLA models and dashboardsImprove signal-to-noise ratio in alerts and enable actionable telemetryIncident Response & Operations
Participate in on-call rotations and incident responsePerform root cause analysis and drive remediation improvementsMaintain and evolve runbooks, playbooks, and operational proceduresAI-Enabled DevOps & Automation
Integrate AI-assisted tooling into DevOps workflows (e.g., deployment automation, code review, incident analysis)Help structure systems, APIs, and documentation to be “agent-ready”Leverage AI to improve:Incident triage and root cause detectionPipeline efficiency and code generationOperational insights and anomaly detectionDevOps Operating Model & Governance
Enforce DevOps standards across teams (pipeline patterns, repo structure, environment promotion)Contribute to cloud governance, IAM standards, and security postureSupport separation of responsibilities between platform and application teamsDocumentation & Knowledge Systems
Create structured documentation in Confluence and GitHub that is both human-usable and AI-consumableContribute to onboarding, runbooks, and knowledge sharing initiativesCollaboration & Enablement
Partner with Software Engineering, QA, Data, and Security teamsSupport platform adoption and developer enablementMentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth
Minimum Qualifications
4–7 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure EngineeringStrong experience in AWSExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple environmentsHands-on expertise with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, etc.)Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, etc.)Solid understanding of:Networking and cloud securityIdentity and access management (IAM, SSO)Experience participating in incident response and production supportAbility to drive technical initiatives and influence engineering standardsStrong written documentation skills (Confluence, README-driven workflows)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:Kubernetes / ECS-based workloadsGitOps and deployment automation patternsOpenTelemetry or advanced observability strategiesExperience in performance tuning and disaster recovery planning.Solid understanding and experience with Windows and Linux/Unix administrationFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, etc.).Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.Experience in AdTech, digital platforms, or high-volume data systems.
For New York and New Jersey, the salary range for this role is 115k-160k per year.
Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate’s experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position.
