Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Founding Full-Stack Engineer We’re building a new consumer technology platform and are looking for a highly entrepreneurial engineer to help take it from concept through launch. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can build across the stack while also thinking like a product owner and business operator. You will work directly with the founders to determine what needs to be built, how it should work, and how we can launch it quickly and reliably. We will be integrating with external technology partners, but we need someone who can fully understand the underlying systems, manage those integrations, build the proprietary layers around them, and ensure that we maintain control over the customer experience and our data. What you’ll be responsible for: Designing and setting up the application’s backend architecture and databasesBuilding a responsive, polished consumer-facing web experienceIntegrating third-party APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and external platformsBuilding customer account, authentication, and profile systemsImplementing payment flows that allow customers to deposit funds, maintain a balance, complete transactions, and cash outDesigning a reliable wallet and transaction-ledger systemIntegrating payment processors, banking partners, identity-verification providers, and fraud-prevention toolsManaging transaction states, failed payments, refunds, disputes, withdrawals, and reconciliationBuilding internal administrative tools for customer support, payments, risk, finance, and reportingSetting up analytics, event tracking, monitoring, security, and technical documentationWorking with external vendors to troubleshoot integrations and close technical gapsHelping define the product roadmap and prioritizing what needs to be built for launchRecruiting and managing additional engineering resources as the company grows Who we’re looking for: A senior full-stack engineer, founding engineer, technical product lead, or former technical founderStrong backend development and database architecture experienceComfortable building polished frontend product experiencesExperience launching a transaction-heavy consumer platform from an early stageDirect experience with customer wallets, deposits, withdrawals, cash-outs, payment processing, or stored-value systemsExperience integrating multiple external APIs and building reliable systems around third-party infrastructureA strong understanding of webhooks, transaction ledgers, reconciliation, authentication, security, and data integrityFamiliarity with KYC, fraud detection, chargebacks, payment failures, and customer risk controlsStrong product judgment and an understanding of how technical decisions affect conversion, retention, customer trust, and unit economicsComfortable moving quickly in an environment where requirements will evolveAble to translate a business objective into a practical technical solution without waiting for a fully defined specification The right person is an all-rounder. You should be able to move between designing a database, integrating an API, reviewing a payment flow, improving the frontend experience, debugging a production issue, and discussing the commercial implications of a product decision. We are especially interested in candidates who have worked on consumer fintech, gaming, marketplaces, e-commerce, digital wallets, loyalty platforms, or other products involving frequent customer transactions and complex payment flows. This is not a role for someone who only wants to receive tickets and write isolated features. We’re looking for someone who wants to understand the entire business, take ownership of the product, and help build the company from the ground up.
