Senior Python Engineers — Finance Location: London Working Pattern: 4 days per week in the London office, 1 day WFH Salary: Up to £150,000 - 200,000 + bonus The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join a high-performing technology team within a leading financial services client in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Python engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building scalable systems and working in a fast-paced, high-performance financial environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain high-performance Python applications and services.Develop robust, scalable and production-quality software.Work closely with quantitative, trading, technology and business stakeholders.Contribute to technical architecture and engineering best practices.Optimise systems for performance, reliability and scalability.Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.Mentor other engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.Troubleshoot complex production and technical issues. About You Extensive professional experience with Python and modern Python development practices.Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience designing scalable systems.Experience working with distributed systems, APIs and/or data-intensive applications.Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD and software development best practices.Comfortable working in a demanding, collaborative environment.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Previous experience within financial services, banking, trading, investment management or another high-performance technology environment is highly desirable.
