The roles Backend Software Engineers build the infrastructure that lets autonomous systems collaborate, process data at scale, and take meaningful action in real timeFrontend Software Engineers build high performance, data dense visualisation interfaces in React and WebGL, turning complex real time data into something operators can task and control under pressureFull Stack Software Engineers work across both layers depending on where impact is needed mostGenuine ownership over technical decisions from day one, within a flat hierarchy and a small, high calibre team Requirements Strong software engineering fundamentals in C++, Java, Rust, or Python (Backend), or React and WebGL (Frontend)Genuine motivation around critical industries such as ethical defence, civil defence, or humanitarian sectorsComfort with ambiguity, autonomy, and outsized ownershipFull Stack candidates should bring solid fundamentals across both backend and frontend disciplinesTop tier academic background, Russell Group or globally recognised equivalent (Ivy League, ETH, EPFL, etc.).
