Senior Automation Developer

Location: Toronto Downtown Work Model: 100% Onsite – Monday to Friday Contract: Sept 21, 2026 – Sept 24, 2027 Hours: 7.25 hours/day Responsibilities Identify opportunities to automate software testing and QA processes.Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration and system tests.Work extensively with Selenium or similar automation frameworks.Evaluate and introduce new automation technologies, including AI-assisted testing.Perform enterprise performance/load testing using LoadRunner or similar tools.Test REST APIs, web services, JSON/XML and HL7/FHIR integrations.Conduct API testing using Postman, SOAP UI or programming languages.Perform security testing involving SAML and JWT.Use SQL for data validation and backend testing.Manage defects, test execution and reporting using Jira, Confluence, TestRail or similar tools.Participate in defect triage, walkthroughs, Agile ceremonies and QA improvement initiatives.Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, scripts and test-result reports.Support accessibility testing aligned with WCAG/AODA requirements.Work closely with developers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders.Required Experience 7+ years of QA automation/testing experience.Strong hands-on Selenium automation framework development.Experience with LoadRunner/performance testing.Strong API/web-service testing experience.Programming/scripting experience and SQL knowledge.Agile/DevOps and source-control experience.Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
