Senior Network Cybersecurity Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Cybersecurity Technology Engineering team in Cracow. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting the organization's brand, shareholder value, and financial assets by implementing and maintaining security measures across the network infrastructure. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with a diverse team and contributing to strategic security initiatives. Your tasks Leading the development and execution of strategic security initiatives to strengthen network defensesProviding expert guidance on cybersecurity strategies to senior management and stakeholdersMaintaining up-to-date security documentation and conducting in-depth reviews of security design documentation and firewall rulesIdentifying potential gaps in security controls and supporting the development of remediation plans for identified deficienciesOffering advanced technical support and guidance on complex network solutions, cryptography, and data security projectsEnsuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards and promoting best practices across the organizationLeading risk assessment activities and developing comprehensive risk management plansCollaborating with the Business as part of the first line of defense to maintain visibility of IT security risk profiles and control effectivenessEngaging with regional and global cybersecurity stakeholders to address security concernsMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards, and best practices Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration and cybersecurityExtensive understanding of cybersecurity controls and industry trendsProficiency with cybersecurity technologies such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, and proxiesIn-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, DNS) and network protocol analysis toolsExperience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google is desirableProven ability to create comprehensive reports, document findings, and provide strategic recommendationsAdvanced industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM, or equivalent are highly desirableAdvanced level of EnglishWillingness to work in a hybrid model at the Kraków office three times per month Nice to have Experience in IT or cybersecurity within a financial or regulated environment Job no.
