Platform Engineer / SRE

The Role As our Platform Engineer / SRE, you'll build and run the cloud infrastructure that the rest of Murmuration is built on. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you'll set up our infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability, and own the reliability and security of a platform that credit unions rely on to serve their members. About Murmuration Murmuration is a new technology company building the core platform that credit unions run on. We provide the software, payments, and data infrastructure that lets a credit union offer its members modern digital banking without having to build or run the technology itself. Credit unions are member-owned and rooted in their communities, but many still operate on systems that are decades old, which limits what they can offer their members. We're building the alternative. We're a new company, putting our platform and our first engineering team in place now, with the backing of an established group. What you'll be doing Design, build, and operate our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using infrastructure-as-codeBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let engineers ship safely and oftenOwn observability across metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting, and define and report on SLOs and SLAsLead on production reliability: incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, and resilience and disaster-recovery planningBuild security into the platform, covering secrets management, network security, identity and access, and the controls needed for PCI-DSS and FCAAutomate what should be automated, and cut down manual operationsMake the platform easy for other engineers to build on, with good defaults and self-service toolingHelp set the cloud and reliability approach as one of the first engineers in the team What you'll bring to Murmuration Strong experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer running production systems at scaleStrong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform)Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD toolingA solid grasp of observability tooling and incident managementA good understanding of cloud security and how to operate in a regulated environmentAn automation-first approach, and comfort owning reliability at an early-stage company Standout candidates will also...
