About BravoTran BravoTran is building software that helps freight forwarders automate document-intensive workflows. Global freight operations rely on thousands of documents that are often processed manually, creating unnecessary cost, delays, and errors. Our platform combines workflow automation, machine learning, and a browser-based user experience to help customers operate more efficiently. BravoTran is a spinout of HubTran, the leading document and automation platform for North American truck transportation. We're applying that experience to solve similar challenges in global freight. Responsibilities: • Design and implement entire projects not just individual stories • Gain a deep understanding of the customers' needs to help drive technical decisions • Proactively communicate issues and trade-offs with team members to support alignment and fast decision making. • Efficiently work with others to improve solutions through various communication methods (pair programming, design meetings, code reviews, etc) Qualifications: • Knowledge and experience in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Elm, React, Redis, Docker, Machine Learning, AWS, Kubernetes *We're excited to work with good developers regardless of their familiarity with those specific technologies. These are the tools we're currently using but you don't need to have previous experience with all of them. Quickly picking up new languages and tools is part of what makes a great developer. • Builder mentality - the ability and desire to join a high performing early-stage team and drive exceptional results • Team player who challenges the norm, offers ideas, and collaborates cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Bonus Points: • Leading an engineering team or running a consulting company • Experience or strong interest in Machine Learning • Experience with functional languages like Elm, Haskell, OCaml, or Elixir • Previous Logistics experience
