Role Description The First Staff Officer for Development and Information Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait City.
The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing IT systems that support operational and administrative functions within the Kuwait Army.
Day-to-day tasks include managing network and system operations, ensuring system reliability and security, supervising technical support activities, and resolving complex technical issues.
The role also involves leading development initiatives, evaluating new technologies, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
The First Staff Officer contributes to strategic IT planning, prepares documentation and reports, and supports training and guidance for technical personnel.
Qualifications
Strong Information Technology background, with experience in military, government, or large-scale organizational environments.Hands-on proficiency in Network Administration and System Administration to manage and secure infrastructure and critical systems.Demonstrated capabilities in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to diagnose, resolve, and prevent recurring technical issues.Knowledge of IT security principles, risk management, and data protection practices relevant to defense or high-security contexts.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, Security+) are an advantage.Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and prepare accurate technical documentation.Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under operational constraints.Willingness to work on-site in Kuwait City and adhere to institutional standards, protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
